Hi all !
Are there any 'oil shocks with coil springs' for the High-lifts available? If there is, where can I get them?
All's help is highly appreciated.
Thanks !

Are you 4 linking your hi-lift or leaving the leafs?

The reason I ask is because it will differ depending on which you are going to do.
If you are going to stick with the leaf springs, then you only need a damper type shock. If you are going to 4-link the truck then you need more coil over shocks.
You can upgrade to something like this if you stick with the leaf springs: http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=57&products_id=692
If you are going to 4-link the truck, then you can use something like this: http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?cPath=57&products_id=824 But really, almost any coil over shock will work, as long as the length is correct.

Hi Mcfig !
Thank you very, very much for the links & info!
Could you please tell me more on this '4-link' thingy? I just bought my Tamiya Ford F350 and I haven't built it yet....this is my second ep rc truck after 20 years! My first was a buggy, the 'Rough Rider'....
I'm planning to bash around my truck in my yard (loads of grass, no pebbles,no stones).
Thanks!

4-linking is when you dig the leaf springs and then connect the axles with 4 links. 4 in the front and 4 in the back.
Go here and scroll half way down to Adam1973's post. He has pictures of his 4 link setup.

On the third page, Dezmoon has his 4 link setup. There are different ways to do it, but the idea is always the same.
