Hi
I used to fly rc planes some 15 years ago but had kids and had to make cut backs. Now its time for a new hobby so Ive ordered a high lift Hilux when I went to order radio equipment I realised how much things have changed. So my question is what radio and speed controller do i require for use in the UK.
Sorry for such a lame question but i was totally lost.

Typical is 27MHz AM
But there are a few others.

Theres more likely to get 40mhz FM with 4ch radio.
Don't know if 35mhz FM is reserved airplanes in UK, as it is here in Norway?

Thanks for the advice but could you tell me if i can use this Futaba 6EXP 2.4GHz 4 Servos Mode 2. Im not sure but i think i can use this for all types of rc. Also what spec do I require for a speed controller and are any makes/types more suitable for the high lift hilux.

Supra found that the Hitec EZ-X works well in his 'Lift. It applies power smoother than other ESC (tried TEU302, Teu101, Tekin Rebel, and LRP Runner).
Supra noted that when throttle is applied, the truck will "jump" forward with many ESC's, which really is ugly for a scaler. The Hitec seemed to gradually apply power, so the truck would start smoothly, and have low RPM stability.
