front axle

Does anyone know what is involed or needed to convert the front axle to use a 12mm hex on an original Bruiser axle? I just got a set of axles and have no front hubs and I know that RC4WD has new hubs and also adapters to go to a 12mm hex, but I do not want the added with of the adapters and they also sell a conversion to convert the rear to 12mm and thats what Im goin with for the rear but I need to know what to do about the front.
