I have yet to paint my body and wanted to know if you guys have any particular ways of prepping before paint.I was thinking since the bodies are like plastic models that I would paint them the same way I usually do my models.I lightly scuff under running water with a scotch brite pad removing all mold lines and imperfections, wash with soap and water twice, paint coats to prefference and then high gloss clear.Whats your style?

Sounds good to me. The only thing I would add is a primer before any other paint is applied.

I prep mine the same way, but i paint them in automotive 2pac paint. spray on some adhesion promoter like they use for plastic bumpers then the colour. not even primer on some. you get heaps more colour choices and it lasts longer and doesnt scratch as easy!

Wetsand with 400, dishsoap wash, alcohol wipedown, brush off lint with paintbrush, prime, then do it all over again.
