which gear is which?lol

Since I don't run a stick radio I have no idea what gear is which on my high lift.Is the fastest running gear 1st?or second? etc.My truck regularly runs in the second fastest gear

After you put the tranny together, it would be in 2nd gear.

Moving the shifter forward - away from the drive train - would put it in 1st gear (slowest).
Moving the shifter backwards - towards the drive train - would put in in 3rd gear (fastest).

The semi kit includes something to lock the tranny in which ever gear you want - I didn't see in hilift manual but I could be wrong.

speedemall, the faster the top speed of the truck the higher the gear you are running it in.

You do not need a stick radio to see what gear you are running in. Many three channel radios will show what gear you use. Be it from the physical position of a 3 position switch or a display showing the "position" of a digital input dial/switch. I will give you a for instance. I use the Futaba 3PK with my High-Lift. The transmitter's display shows the third channels position at all times, thus telling me what gear I am running in.
