Hi can someone experianced in resorations let me know the best way to give my new blazer body that box artlook. Ipaid a great deal for it and i just dont want to ruin it!.i was thinking of using rit dye-black.but i want to be able to get a glossy finish with a clear lacquer coat or two?.also will i loose some of its value if painting other than black finish because in the forums rides most of you guys are choosing the black shceme.is box art the best way to go.if someone has the answers please post thanks.

Hi, definately spray! and thin coats (if you mess it up you can always remove with car brake fluid) in my experience (I have had about 20 of these black boxart always seem to be more valuable.

Use a good model paint. If you have access to a motorcycle painter, I'd reccomend that you take it to the shop and have it professionally sprayed.
If rattle can is the route of attack, Tamiya cans are the best. They use a high pressure propellant, and a the nozzles emite a fine, even mist. Make sure can and environmental temperatures are at least 70*, and take lots of time in prepping the parts.
