Hi can someone advise on my issue with going with the lipopolymer battery as a power source for my blazer or is it unsafe to use also how many cells should i buy if safe.my concern is the fact that the battery would be inside the sealed radio box. May over heat? Or the possibility of blowing up my tamiya:( only wondering on this battery question because of the longer run times on the lipos.will a lipo damage the 3 speed tranny?.hope some one can point me in the right direction.also would be nice if this thread starts a what are you using for your battery needs the pro and cons.thanks

cells will depend on what the ESC will handle. If you looking for longer run times just go with a bigger mAH pack like a 5000 NIMH will run my F350 for 45 minutes give or take a few depending on how hard im running.

G'day all, I'm new to Tamiya3Speed, but have owned my Blazing Blazer for something like 25 years. It is a bit beatup but still runs. I've got a 7.4V 3300mAh LiPo battery powering it and it runs fine with the original 3 step speed controller and 28T 540 motor.
