I dusted off and re-assembled my Bruiser purchased some 20 plus years ago and want to restore it. My question is if I sell it, should I restore to original Tamiya spec or is it ok to have chrome plated / polished underside with stainless hardware? The whole intention would be to get the most out of the sale.
Cost of plating / polishing isn't an issue as I have connections to get that done for me cheap.
Any information will be helpful!

I think it could go either way.

Some people like the orginal stuff as is and others go for the bling.
