Hybrid Cruiser

When the HiLift came out I wanted one badly but when I really thought about it was the tranny, leafs and tires I liked, so I grabbed up a couple sets of each instead of the kit.

A Diaz frame provides the backbone to the truck. Rather then follow the HiLift setup I chose to widen the frame, then make a new leaf hanger setup.

I then grabbed a set of TLT axle housings and went to town to clean them up. Won't need any of the mounts since I am running leafs!

A Pro-Line Land Cruiser painted up in white for it, as well as a set of Moabs and RPM wheels. Turned down TLT shocks complete the look.

I find they are a great battery mount for custom projects. Able to hold 6 or 7 cells.

Its from a toy truck my son had and broke. It is only there until my order of RC4WD 1.9 Crushers get here.

Yup, its slow but I didn't build it to go fast. Works well for picking lines... Especially usefull for compensating for the leafs.

for the winch run it through an old arial tube and place the rest at the back

looks nice, i just recently purchased a diaz chassis fitted with tlt axles and i think a king hauler gearbox and a cut down traxxas stampede gear box for a transfer box, needs a little work butits a great project! :-)
