Hiya,
I have seen a couple of youtube videos where the Toyota pickup had a working winch.
Could someone tell me where I could get one ?
I google now for two days :(

I replied to your post under Semi Trucks. I listed the Futaba servo, but there are other brands that are cheaper.

yea - just saw the other post.
The problem is the size ..
I don't think they use a servo to power the winch on those F350 and Bruiser ..

Yes it is a servo. You can find more information about winches at www.rcmt.net (http://www.rcmt.net)

you just need to cut the potentiometer loose and set it to it's center point, then cut the limiter off the main output gear. then it'll rotate all day. add a spool and you're all set

But I read you might need a three channel transmitter for those sail servos.
All I want is connecting a switch to the winch with on | off | on
So it goes clock wise | switched off | anti clockwise ..
Can this be done with a normal (modified) servo ?

I think it's logic when you put it at the left over channel from your 4 channel transmitter. The you can set speed and direction :)

I meant I won't use my transmitter for this ... :)
All I want / need is a switch - thats all :)

How did you mount the winch? Maybe some close up shots of you mount, I just got mine and I am trying to figure out how to mount the winch. Would be nice to see what other people have done. Thanks.
