Quite a few people suggesting using a Truckpuller motor instead of the stock one as it runs only on 8000rpm (which is half of the stock one I believe).
Does it still make sense to use a slower one if you use the MFU which has a speed controller already ?

Absolutely, when I first built my Knight Hauler box stock with the MFU it was way too fast in high gear. With the stock motor and MFU you need only very slight throttle stick movement to make a big difference in the speed of the truck. By switching to a lower RPM motor or using the PMD 4:1 reduction unit (my choice) you make the low speed throttle response slower and smoother. This is most noticeable (for me) when backing up a trailer. Depends on your intended use but a high torque/low RPM motor is, in my opinion, a very good investment.

You got a link for some goodies I'd need to buy ? I checked Tower for example and got nothing ..
edit never mind, I think I got something

The high turn lathe motors for the crawler crowd is another good low rpm high torque motor choice. I would say a 55 turn or higher, I am thinking of trying a 65 turn myself.
