If you can find one on boards, then try e-pay.
In the meantime, bicycle innertube wrapped twice will work to take up the gap between the motor and the motor plate so you can run it.

Rubber cover? Quick way to wear out a motor, more heat......more wear.....less life! At least let it breath, if ya have to use a shower cap over the entire underbody but give it a few holes for ventilation.

Rubber cover is to keep the motor from rubbing against the motor bracket while running. All of the original 3speeds had some kind of protection around the motors. Tamiya did not worry about motor life back then. Plus I never ran mine long enough to need to worry about heat.

I wrapped my motor with electrical tape several times and it stop from moving around. Used about 1/4 of the role. What ever works use it. Looks cheesy, but works for me. rick-out

A quick fix is to use some fuel tubing for glow fuel models. Simply get some (appr. 4") of thick fuel tubing and slit it open so you have a long u-shaped tube, which you then wrap around the motor mount.

A neat way is to use several layers of this

Sticks to itself and has the desired "cushion" effect
