I was wondering what was the best motor setup for general offroading and some crawling on minor rocks Right now I have a 55turn with a 3.0:1 gear reduction I had it at 2.5:1 but seems to be alittle to fast. With the unit I have I can go to 3.8:1 reduction Is there any problems with going to that, Will it damage anything electronic? Thanks...

So I am running to much gearing, will it do damage to the trans?

That gearing won't damage your tranny. Your truck will only go 1/2 mph......in high........with a tailwind.......downhill......

incorrect gearing wont hurt the trans but can hurt the motor and or esc. watch out for over heating on the two, if that happens you should go down in pinion size.

I really not interested in speed, and it goes 1 mph :)get it right lol, I really want the torque with 4 links front and rear speed will just make me weeble wobble.

I run the stock gearing and motor.
It is powerful enough, even in heavy mud.

I think stock is just good... Don't need any other motor or gearing...
