When I run my first Hilux in 1983 I discovered that the truck had not suspension. I had been running SS and some Kyos.... and the Hilux was a disappointed. I sold immediately  stupid young man!!!!!!

I restored a HIlux 2 years ago and then sold it, the same problem the leafsprings were hard enough to carry out a real Hilux. later in 2006 I restored and modified 2 Hilux, and used the leafsprings from the F350. Worked perfectly! and I ordered parts from my partner in Japan, cheap.
If you have planned to run the truck I strongly recommend the new leafsprings, they are soft and even you will get a lift truck.

You are very brave to run your truck so aggresively as to require softer springs. Especially a truck that nice. The Mountaineer bed is a nice touch that makes it look very much like a real truck.

To be frank I just run the model indoor, very expensive and lot of work to put it on the ground. The matter is that the Hilux's leafsprings are so hard that almost there is not suspension, most when the parts are used.
The parts were very cheap and improved the truck like a Bruiser.

That truck looks great. I have bruiser springs on mine and while they work great in the rear, they are too long for the front. It looks like the high lift springs are just the right length for the front.

grab the front ''eyelet'' with a pair of needle nose and roll it around a bit more. That will ''shorten'' the spring a bit. Make sure youn do both springs equal amounts.
