so im thinkin about hetting a HL and i want to run it in the mud and whatnot. so i was wondering if i need anything special to prevent it from busting or is a stock on fine well it will probably have mudd slingers but ya do i need to get anything special so it wont break?

The F350 really is more of a scale truck if you build it according to the book. The body will be among the first things to break, as will the rear springs. It's hard plastyic, and wil not take impacts well. It also adds weight up top. Lexan is a great substitute.
Factyory suspension may offer up to 3/4" of non-supple bounciness. If you wish to make a more durable mudder it is a great foundation, but will require some suspension mods to increase travel and soften it up.
Continue searching and looking at the 4-link set ups to get some ideas.
