I think I will take the body set and hunt down for original hilux parts. Or build it up with a diaz frame, last option is (when I decide to save much money, to honor this iconic car) to buy a rc4wd bruiser.

Supra has been looking at the body mounting and rear bumper parts in the T-USA site, and wonders how much is required to mount it up to an aftermarket chassis. A little fabbing and it may slap onto a Diaz.

Maybe a Mono will mount right up. But the Junfac....now that would be a nice truck!

Anyone know if they have plans for the Hilux? Would that chassis make it ridiculously tall?

I've just ordered one from Tower. Noticed that as soon as they came in stock, the price dropped nearly $50...

It will be an Xmas present from the wife, but I'm just stoked to finally have a cool looking R/C truck. Been a Toyota fan my whole life, this is going to be great :)

I picked mine up Wed right afterwork from Ultimate ($339) there's 1 more on the self.
After looking through the manuel lowering the body is not as easy as I thought.
It is secured by one screw up by the hood, two screws with plastic piece in the rear (bed) and two more screws each side of the lower cab where the nerf bar screws used to be on the orignial Bruiser/Mounty.

easiest way to reduce the gap is mounting bigger tires but then I notice in the instuction manuel said DO NOT use wider or bigger tires than the kit supplied ones. Hmmmm

Got mine monday just gone. (19th) for $300 US from Stellamodels in Hong Kong. Also got a bearing kit and MFU.
Hopefully start the build tomorrow.
