Ok I like the new Hi lift Hilux my thing is I have 2 Hi lifts already and dont need a 3rd, I was wondering are we going to be able to buy the hilux body set soon? I guess the body the chrome and lenses. is all I will need, I am not to worried about the mounts Im sure it will mount easily. Thanks for any info..

It'll probably be awhile before parts are available for it, but I hope Tamiya will offer a complete body parts set.

Perhaps this will be a bad notice, but Tamiya ( at least Tamiya Japan) will not sell body sets inmediately, the reasons are obvious. :sorry:

yeah i`m stuck on this 1 one also as i have 2 high lifts with full mfc kit`s in them and i dont see me buyin this just for the body!!!! hmmmmmmm

I hope it's not going to be all that long. Otherwise I'll just buy a kit and part it out.
Any official word on availability/ETA of a body parts set Tamiya?

I wish I was able to snatch one of those limited edition mountaineer bodies when they are being sold for $250. I don't see much on ebay lately, even on $350 pricetag.


Will it be practical just to buy the Hilux kit, get the body and sell the rest?

What i think would be a great hybrid is the hilux shell complete with lighting holes but then use all of the mounty chrome parts, clear window and interior

Very much so, buy the kit from RPP or Ultimate and sell everything off except the body, Probably end up paying 1 - 200 for the body, depending on how cheap you sell stuff.

I allready have a Kamtec windshield for mine.
