Hey guys, my family's back from India now, and last night my dad and I went to our shop after hours to see the mechanics/eat/etc. When we were there, the head mechanic asked about my Aeromax (saw it as a kit, and as a rolling chassis waiting for body paint 2 days later, and hasn't since), which got my dad on the topic (hadn't actually shown him properly yet, but he'd seen it all laid out on the dining room table). When he asked when my trailer was going to be ready, I mentioned I'd priced the stuff out at Dinball's RC Mart (http://www.rcmart.com/), and it came to about ~ $540US with 4-day shipping (from HK to CAN), for the MFU, flatbed trailer, and the trailer light kit. His response: order it now, don't wait until summer (him telling me to spend money = my CHRISTMAS PRESENT! Or maybe my birthday, which falls withing a week of Christmas. At least, it better be, cause otherwise I can't afford it right now :()

There isn't anything I'd need to go fully-automated (by remote) with all the bells & whistles I'm missing, is there? I guess my question is, the MFU does not require an additional light kit or electrical unit, does it? I also am aware that it has an ESC built in. I just don't want to order everything and find out I'm missing something. I know the motorized trailer legs are missing, but I can't track them down on RC Mart or eBay (Dinball also sells over eBay, and I'd like to order everything at once, or shipping makes the online savings a moot point). Anyone have suggestions? I'll be calling the LHS for a price on the legs later today. Thanks guys!

Everything you need is included with the MFU. As you correctly assume, you only need the 56505 - Motorized support legs (which you need to hook/unhook the trailer remotely) and the 56502 - Semi-trailer light set.

If you are to source from Asia I can recommend Ishiiimokei (http://www.ishiimokei.com). They are a reliable online retailer from Japan that most often beat the prices from Hong Kong dealers. The MFU, Flatbed trailer, ball bearings for the trailer, trailer lights and support legs add up to 44 050 Yen (appr. 400 US with the 12 %) excl. shipping. They do have a 12 % fee for paying with VISA but even when that is included they often end up beeing the most favorable place for Tamiya in Asia.

I don't have a credit card :(. I'll have to figure something out though, as I estimated shipping (pinned it @ their estimate for 8kg, but it's more likely going to be 6kg, as the trailer is 2.5), and the cost comes to about $605 CAN. That is a little bit more than RC Mart, but it includes bearings for the trailer & tractor, and the motorized legs, which the $550 @ RC Mart did not.

The only reason I was ordering from RC Mart is because I've ordered there before, and it went okay. If you have experiences with Ishiimokei, I guess I'll give them a shot if I can find a way to order from them. Thanks.

I just wanted to present an Asian aternative to RC-Mart.

Ishiimokei have other means of payment too, that are well described on their web site. I and several others I know personally have ordered from them on several occasions and none of us has never had a bad experience with them.
