Seen these yet?

lowslowTJ over on Scale4x4 is making them, from high-quality resin. He used a Bruiser body to create the masters, so there's a little bit of fender showing at the very back of the front arches (Tamiya must have changed up the body when they added the extra holes) but other than that they fit perfectly.

They're just the thing for covering up larger tires. He also makes them for the Clod and Hi-Lift bodies. About $45 for a set of 4.

Go ahead and rub it in. I have been trying in vain to grab a set of these for a while now.

actually what wheels are those, I like the ''aluminum slotted mags'' look of the 80's

Those look like CreateACrawler's slot mags over on scale4x4rc

I can't believe I've scooped you on a sweet part, Jim!

This is one of the first sets made, he sent them to me to test the fit on the new Lux body. Now that we know they fit, I'm sure he'll start cranking them out.

Bill, createacrawler only does small runs, so if you want a set of slots you better get hold of him quick. They may be gone already. He only made 10 sets.

BTW, the cap is looking much better now:
