just about any reversing ESC will work with the 750 motor
If it states it can handle a 27 turn 540 it'll handle the bruisers very timid 750.
Duratrax makes a couple ESC's you can buy for under 60 bucks that'll do fine
That is the one good thing about that 750, it's so timid as long as a s ESC works with 27 turn 540 stock motors it'll work in the bruiser/mounty.

Supra would probably look for an LRP F1 or higher end ESC with no limit.
The Bruiser is a collector piece, and in order to give it the best protection possible, Supra would definitely opt for a good ESC and quality radio.
The LRP F1, for example, is designed to run high loads, and is equipped with a large heatsink. It will allow you pass a lot of current and amperage without cooking. Even one of the higher end Runner ESCs will be a good choice because they are water proof. It will be less prone to thermal shutdown, and will supply steady voltage to 2-3 channels.

anthguteirrez, the Duratrax is probably fine.
Safety and control (over glitches) derives from a reliable radio system, not a top notch ESC. Your model will not be "safer" with the top models from Novak or LRP than a standard ESC. However, a good radio system might be able to surpress glitches better than cheaper offerings.
Waterproofing, on the other hand is something that must be done to all electronics. So only getting a waterproof ESC is no guarantee, just a good step in the right direction. I have written another post about waterproofing the electronics to make an F-350 waterproof.
If you decide to truly treat your car as a collectors piece you will probaly not drive it in deep puddles anyway since that might break/scratch some parts....
