Since I got my Hilx on Christmas, I have been busy steadily building it up. So far I have the chassis complete.

I'm still working on the body. I'm filling the extra holes in the rocker panel and a few imperfections around the body.

I got some more of the body done today. It's cool that tamiya left all the holes in the rocker panel so you can use the body on a Mounty or bruiser chassis but there ar just too many holes. I filled them in with pieces cut from the parts trees then used bondo glazing putty to fill them in. As you can see I cut the door jamb lines into the body filler.

I taped off the window with good quality 3m masking tape and glued it into the body using Plastic weld liquid glue.

It's a slow going process to do all these small details but it makes the body look so much better in the end.

The rims are from createcrawler on scale 4x4 they are really sweet and a good price also. Tires are rc4wd rockstompers.
Frame rails are Monotuning, the shackles from the Junfac and the center pieces from Hot racing. I plan to keep the junfac rails for orange lifty
