I have a Futaba 4YF, in air frequency? so I was told by my hobbie shop, the manual shows that you can use 72 for air and 75mhz for ground, does this mean I can use 75 (ground) crystals on this radio? or do they sell a 4YF on ground frequency? I thought this radio could do both. I already got two sets of 75 crystals. I hope I can use them..
does the receiver have to be a 75 to accomodate my 75 crystals? I see some of them say R114F 72....
please advice

If the radio and reciver is 75mhz, you can use them.
But if it's, let's say: 40mhz, you need to use 40mhz crystals.

But if your radio is a 72Mhz model then you wouldn't be able to use them ..

I have a 4YF which I bought from ebay. It has a 72Mhz crystal in it, instruction manual, and NO receiver.
So now I need a receiver. I read in the manual that this radio comes with a R127DF receiver, I go to Futaba-RC to read on it and it says it only comes in a 72Mhz frequency… the manual talks about 72 and 75, I thought this radio was dual frequency, I thought I could use either 72 or 75, but the receiver is only one frequency. I already bought from ebay 2 pairs of crystals in 75 frequency… Would I be able to use this radio with these crystals? Do I need a different transmitter other than the R127DF that would work with 75Mhz? What do you recommend I do??? Please let me know.
Thank you.

To be honest, I just guessing here myself as I am not from the US - I am using 40Mhz so I don't know whether 72 and 75 works on the same radio

72 and 75 mhz crystals are not interchangable. You can buy the 4yf comes in a 75mhz ground frequency. both of the 4YF's I have came with a monster sized 8 channel reciever which can be seen in this photo
