I picked up a mounty a few weeks back that came with the Acoms Techniplus 4 ch radio - but not fitted.
I've just had the back off it and can't see any way to swap the rachet and spring over so i have the rachet on the gearchange and the spring on the throttle.
Is it poss to rotate the the complete joystick thru 90 degrees?
I have two other 3speeds awaiting radios so really need to use this one if poss, but don't want to be stuck with a non self- centraling throttle.
Can anybody help?

Hmm, ominous silence.
Managed to put the spring from the horizontal axis onto the vertical but there is no rachet on the horizontal or an option to swap as the plastic rachet is moulded onto the vertical axis, so now i have a free moving horizontal and a self-centering vertical (throttle)

I use the right stick for throttle ( up -down) and the right stick for steering (left-right). I only use the left stick for shifting. This feels more natural to me. I have an old Acoms like this plus newer Futaba radios that I use like this. I always thought it felt wierd to throttle and shift off the left side and steer only on the right. Felt sort of disconnected. Just my opinion.

I've had stick radios with throttle on the left and steering on the right for the last 30 yrs, something to do with old dogs and new tricks!
While on the topic, i used a 1mm ally plate for the shiftgate, photocopied the shift pattern and cyano'ed it to the ally and then drilled and filed the pattern---took me ages to figure that one--simple when you know how tho.
