Hi everyone. Nice Site!

I just won a bruiser on Ebay, I looked at all thei images and it appeared complete, less mirrors. What elese should someone look for when purchasing? :Tamiya1:

one thing hard to tell from e-pay is the frame bent
they tend to bend with a hard front corner hit

I would try to get a close-up of the rear uj's, this should give an indication of general wear particularly to the mushy-metal axle gears. (so long as they have not been replaced)

I tend to also look at the tires and the overal wear. If the tires are bald, the rc car had a long run time. A good example is an SRB. I got two from ebay that had no wear and was perfect, the other the tires were worn allot and the gears were shot.

After a couple of years of on-off use, the tyres on my hilux i've had for 20 odd yrs were reasonably ok ,the uj's were shot, as were the rear axle gears, the one-way hubs, the nylon spur, the final 2-4wd gear in the box and also the steel drive disc in the rear axles.( Luckily i replaced all these when spares were still around)

On the mounty / bruiser, because of the size of the tyres i think they would outlast all these "perishables" 3 or 4 times over , however , on an srb, a few hours on the wrong surface could total the rear tyres.
