Hi good people!

I'm planning to get the Tamiya Ford F350 or Tamiya Hilux Highlift soon but b4 that, I would be very grateful indeed if you good people could help me out on these matters:-

(1) I would like to fix a faster motor such as the Tamiya Sport Tuned Motor [53086] or the Tamiya Super Stock BZ [53930], are they good? Any other recommendations?

(2) I would like to use the Futaba MC230CR ESC instead of the Tamiya TEU-302BK ESC [45028], is it a good choice?

(3) Are there any polycarbonate bodyshells available for the trucks? The one that comes with the kit is too.....:omg: awesome!!!

(4) That's all I can think.......for the moment.

Thanks, good people!

faster motor is really not needed. Stick it in third and it's plenty fast. But yes, that would fit.

Both esc's are ok, a better choice is the rooster crawler esc it is about the same price and has a stronger BEC that you'd want.

many 2.5 maxx shells will fit with minimum fudging

Im running a Venom 55t crawler motor and a Tekin FX-R esc. Both work extreamly well. Im not worried about speed as i want to do scale 4wd'n.

But the sports tune will run real well. Just dont go putting bigger wheels on, you might find it will like to roll over alot more at higher speed.

Cheers,
Rob.

I use the stock 540/.Went with a Navak Goat brush/less.Cost a bit more but opened up my options for a brushless if i choose. It was very easy to install and adjust.Well worth the $129.00.

PEACE.

I'm running the stock silver J can, with a Tamiya TEU 101BK ESC. I used to run a Tazer 10turn Lipo safe ESC with drag brake, But I needed more than 5volts for the high torque servo.
