Here goes
Made some Bars for my four link conversion, Small bar goes above the rear transmission neatest way i could think of and it means i can adjsut the height and width of the upper arms.

Will add them to my truck today.

I've been busy with the 4-link conversion for the front of my liftie. Mounted the servo on the axle, all I have to do now is waiting till the shock shafts arrive. Because one is broken :(

Well, I didn't do it today (it took a couple months) but I made a body for mine:

It's also got a raised tranny and clocked motor.

Stu I swear if that was tan w/ a bit more rust it would have RI plates pulling a landscapers trailer.

William, I really took it easy with the rust. The 1:1 it's modeled after didn't have much left below the tops of the wheel arches, and the body actually folded the first time I took the roof off, after which the doors never closed properly. Scouts were overbuilt in every area except the body. I swear they'd rust if you just looked at 'em funny. Once the body gets a little more banged up I'll touch it up with more rust-colored paint.

The irony is, I've spent more on this one than I did on the 1:1 :omg:

Want a nice sunny day so i can go outside. (2012 if the blighty weathers anything to go by!!!)

Am also working on a F150 body for it but it's not finished yet.

Not done today, but the mod's that I have carried out are as follows; Junfac front axle guard, as seen here;
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o259/zippelius/DSCF1718.jpg

I have raised the body by flipping round the metal plate that you screw the body to, and cut down the pegs that the foot steps screw to, for the rear I used a total of 6 per side of the bronze (?) bearing bushings (3 per screw).

Due to the Junfac axle guard being fitted and still using leaf springs, I have had to remove the stock brush guard, it clashed, and resulted in less axle articulation and a bent brush guard. I have also fitted a HPI Savage front bumper, I screwed it to the front bumper, as seen here; http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o259/zippelius/PA020002.jpg Also seen in this photo are the alluminium axle blocks that I got off ebay to give a little more lift.

I also cut the pinion/slipper cover to make things easier coming changing the motor etc.. Other mods that I have carried out are; RC4WD rear axle "straight" adapters, a real pig to fit as we know!! As you can see, I haven't painted it yet, but it is something that I am going to sort out soon.

No, although I can't remember who off Ebay I got them from. They came with body lift parts as well, I already had my body lifted so I didn't use them.

well today i have modded nothing, but what i have modded is:
01) cut the tranny dust cover
02) moved the steering servo up front
03) swapped the steering rods to the front of the axle
04) removed 3 of the internal springs (the one left is the rear left i think because of acceleration forces twisting the leaf)
05) altered the leaf pack
06) Ballooned ESC and reciever
07) added winch servo next to shifting servo
08) added extra 4 AA cells (2700mah - nimh rechargeable) for the 3 servo's and to help the cruddy bec on the esc
09) Removed the lower 2 bars from the brush guard
10) LED's
11) Balloned the RX pack (4 AA's) and the LED pack (3 AA's)
12) moved the battery above the frame rails
13) removed the 'exhausts'
14) removed the roll bar (didnt put LED's in it anyway)
15) chrome tape for the lower half of the 2 tone (mett blue and silver - now chrome instead of silver)
16) opened up the eyelets in the leaf springs and used fuel tube as a 'bushing' like on 1:1's
17) re-glued the tires (de-paint the bead on a wheel before gluing)

and i think thats it...

Not done today, I ran it today, but I have in recent days fitted a 4-link set up, I used Traxxas links, and a set of Junfac beadlocks. I have yet to arrive a set (4) of RC4WD 2.2 Mud Slingers.

Lets see today I painted my 2.2 to match the body and used RC4WD Swampers, installed a 4:1 gear reduction, and tuned my 4 link...... As for the show truck I just tryed out some other beadlock set ups...

Yes, very much. They took a little work to get in and operating smoothly but once in they're great. I like the extra low end torque the reduction gives and the wider track makes a noticable improvement in stability. So far they've held up well to any abuse I've been able to throw at them.

I scrapped the original frame and in the process of making a new one. Stretching the body 2 1/2", fender flares, hood scoops, drop bed, and the custom frame to resemble the original truck. I have RC4WD t-rex axles, rpp limited edition beadlock wheels, mud slingers, rc4wd drive shafts a nice custom lift of my own design. When he gets his shocks with boots done I'll throw about 12 on it and a steering stabilizer or two. Definetely will be a one of a kind. I'll have pics when it's closer to getting done. Mountymaxx.

Today I installed the steering servo on the axle front and rear, I uses the stock steering servo mount from the side of the frame to mount the servo on the front and rear axle It worked out great. Also I weathered the body with some rust and a new snorkel.,
