I made wheel wells for my F-350 after taking it out and running it through a puddle and killing my receiver. I know, I should of wrapped my receiver. So, I did that, but I noticed how messy everything was up under the cab. Thus began my little adventure.

I used aluminum and silicone to make these. They aren't the prettiest things in the world, but they will do the job and don't look half bad.

Here is the stuff:

Here is a video of the drive through the water. I did this twice. (Taped and drove at the same time, not easy) You can hear JAFO's truck in the background

Here is a pic of the truck afterwards

Here is a pic under the hood. A few drops off to the left and the top of the servos. Not bad. I didn't take a picture before when I almost fried my receiver, but the whole top was wet. Nothing was dry. So I would say they worked really well.

Hello driver, you had a great idea making the wheel wells. They make the truck look more realistic...You got me thinking,I should do that to my 350,& I think you did a pretty good job on them.I've worked with silicone & it's kind of a chore to get things to set with that (evil silicone).LOL.Later,Big John:yourock:

Seen the price on them I think I'd rather have a go at making them like Mcfig's

Yeah, the carbon fiber mold is really sweet, but a little pricey.

ok it's not a 4 banger but the hilux servo cover should stop water getting splashed on top of your servos

I've thought of trying to put an addition between the front two wells to stop water coming up in-between the servos.

After spending as much as I did on the multi unit, the only water my 350 is gonna see is in the rear veiw mirror as I drive like crazy to get away from it. LOL

That is true. I don't have an MFU, so.....

I must say it adds to the realism of the truck. As such your mod is great.

But if the only amout of wet it will shield against is the tiny splash seen in your video you are much better off waterproofing the electronics properly. Here is my top tip on how to waterproof a truck:
