the limited reissue pajer metaltop? It seems companies have recieved them and they were sold out within hours of getting them and it seems towerhobbies keeps pushing it back from early april, mid april, to now early may? Just curious if I made the wrong order from them since it seems other comapnies recieved them and tower has not.

I can't say about Tower for sure, but I have two ordered from my local hobby shop and they haven't arrived yet. I don't know who their distributor is. A friend has one ordered from a different shop and they haven't heard anything either. Maybe one of the moderators can shed some light on the status of the metaltop re-release?

They are selling like hotcakes on e-pay (Asian sellers). So, maybe Towers are gonna get 'em anytime soon. Some even bought directly from the well known Japanese on-line shop with dirt cheap price too.

champ told they had them on the 24th of april and all sold out of them they had 400 of them and they told me tamiya said no more pajero shipments thats it....

Oh man.really? Better try e-pay when you have a chance. Taking pre-orders from tower is risky, you don't know if you are gonna make the cut, lol.

jr-rc listing don't last long. the latest 5 units were sold out in less than 24hrs. I think stella will list some when they got theirs in-stock.

Tamiya really sells alot with scale units. No doubt about that.

I hope the CRV, Isuzu and Jeep will be brought back.

I hear ya stella is gonna charge me 200 bucks for standard shipping though so no biggie im not that desperate for it dont like jr-rc he accused me of something about 2 years ago saying I was bid schilling on his tamiya juggernaut heres the kicker though if I was bid schilling on his new in box juggernaut the item went for a lousy 280 dollars and 60 dollars to ship and I was the winner and he got pissed saying there only two bidders and they were me he accused me on tamiyaclub.com and chris shut down that thread really fast because he emailed me on after I woke up and found it ridiculous with no proof and he was just mad the juggernaut went so damn cheap I mean 280 dollars for a new in box juggernaut is not heard of these days even for back then 2 years ago.

I'm sorry to hear that Jock. I hope you can still buy the Pajero 'till there are some stocks left on some sellers. From what I am seeing, the selling price for it shouldn't go beyond $150.

Ultimate Hobbies seems to have 'em in stock. They are within 50 miles of Tamiya USA, and always seem to have a good supply of Tamiya merchandise.

ahhh, but I Never returned a towerhobbies order though would I be charged on the return? Just curious who would get it faster thats all...I can get 3 pajeros from ultimatehobbies for an extra 40 dollars over what im spending for two at towerhobbies.

I am unsure of Ultimate's status on the "Tamiya shipping priority list". I hear from several LHS' that they are hard to order from. Tower, being the behemoth it is, will almost surely get more in. Ultimate may be more of a gamble, even though the price is right.

Maybe Larrio can shed some light.... hint... :-D

yeah I hear ya on that one I mean ultimate does have great prices even after towerh codes ultimate is still better on prices, but being so scarce the pajero its a gamble who is even gonna get it now based on what champs told from japan I think they said tamiya is not making anymore they got 400 and thats what they were allocated for no more from tamiya.

I think the reason they are selling fast is because everybody wants to flip them in 5 years in hopes to make 10x more than what they paid for it.

Tamiya should flood the market with them like they did with the Gold Lunchboxer so people like myself will be able to drive them like they're not collectables :first:

I just got mine on Saturday, I am in the UK and here they are sold out on pre order basis with most shops and i was just lucky to find a small store that had only one in! seems nobody knows if this first shipment is all there is or will there be more??

Its well cool same as previous apart from inclusion of esc and diffrerent steering rod and use leds for lights instead of bulbs as options!

I got mine as i wanted one when i was about 12 when they first came out was to expensive then!
I intend to build mine and use not keep it un-built to sell in future or anything!

I cant wait to start building:Tamiya1: Rules!!!

Thanks

Lee.

well it looks like tamiya really made these limited because I emailed ultimatehobbies.com and they said tamiya told them no more shipments of pajeros even though on their website, "on order" I say get these while you guys can cause its truely limited unlike the gold lunch box LOL...

I was reading on a different board that some ebay store sellers are getting new batches in soon.

It wouldn't be good marketing on Tamiya's part just to release to Asian ebay sellers because we all know how some of them like to manipulate the market prices by spreading false rumors of "only 400 made" in hopes to turn a quick profit.

Same story her in UK no one knows if any more are coming in, which is why in end i was like phoning round all stores i could find in hope a small store would have one and strangely enough one did when all big stores were saying they wouldnt but they had one so i got lucky.

i hope you guys get yours soon!

WELL champ stores in japan didnt say only 400 made they were allocated only 400 and all were taken for by pre orders and tamiya told them no more shipments and they were selling them only 100 dollars (U.S. dollars) and shipping like 50 bucks or so from what I remember I dont see why they would (champ) limited when they sold them out already no gain on their part. If its sold out its sold out......

I have seen a few in hong kong ebay stores to for resonable prices, i expect there will be more to its just no one wants to miss out if there will be no more. Here in UK all stores say the importer has no idea what they get most of time or when its coming in, in this day and age seems a bit mad!

Im going to take pics of my build when i start it next week and am going to post on the RC zone forum under misc vehicles pajero thread my name on rc zone forums is pajero1980.

Thanks

Some sellers are just taking advantage. Knowing it is just limited, they are jacking up the price.

Just like what happened to the re-re mountaineer body set.

I wonder how limited though I wonder why would tamiya make something limited when they know its wanted? I will never understand I mean only make something limited if they dont think its wanted by majority of the public...I mean come on....

I wouldn't get worried, "limited Edition" is a very dangerous word, The 30th anniversary Porsche was that way it was an initial clamor to get one then the price went up some but its back down as most who wanted one have it and they can be had for stable $500 +/- $100 Also the RTR Pajero a few years back was limited and got sold for years afterwards. The Frog Re-re Was also marked as limited and we all know how hard they are to get. I could be wrong but I'm just playing it cool, I wait for it to blow over and then buy a couple for the chassis. I did put two on back order with rpp hobby for 169.99 they have free shipping to USA 48 on orders over 300 so that seemed fair and if I get them cool if not I'll pick up more Touaregs to turn into Jeep Wranglers:Tamiya1:

Its strange how i have mine in UK, i was lucky to get one that small a store had just one, all first batch were sold on pre order here and its not listed at all now on biggest online UK stores, so will there be more who knows!!! i hope there is more and they re-relase then isuzu mu or honda crv to!

Then i also want the land cruiser crawler to lol:Tamiya1::Tamiya1::Tamiya1:

i didnt think the pajero be that popular as it now seems worldwide, I always wanted since i was about 14 in 1994 when they first came out! to expensive then lol!

Cant wait to build it now:LOL:
