Can any one tell me why Tamiya says to put a spring leaf ABOVE the main leaf? It says in the instructions that it supports the main leaf, but I cant see how it would do anything, I have not run the truck yet, but i'm thinking to put the second leaf UNDER the main...where it WILL help support the main leaf....
any thoughts on this , guys?

i thought the same, i've just built mine n test run it today. it needs the spring above to support the main spring as for example, "the front wheels are up against a small object" as the back axel is still on the ground with no obstruction they are pushing forward, this forward force will twist the front axel down, befor the force of the spring and grip of the tires pushes it up n over the object.

i think i have typed that to make sence, but yes it does need it above to support it. without it, the main spring will twist upwards, out of shape.

Ahh...i see...the second spring helps the main stay in shape, not help carry the weight....

Yup - it's often called an "anti-wrap" spring.
