I found the post below hard to filter through, so I thought I would post a poll for easy numbers.
Vote for your choice as the next Hilift body.
I had to limit the choices to 10, so sorry if your choice is not listed.

will this poll actually be considered for the next hilift ? Or is it going to be compiled with many other bits of information from other sites, board meetings, etc.. ?
Just curious, I have made my vote regardless of the outcome and will buy either one anyways. :Tamiya1:

No, but it will make it easier for Tamiya to see what the people want.

I have to admit that I didn't care for any of the choices much. Chevy being the closest; I wanna see the Blazin Blazer.

Agreed 110% Blazing Blazer all day long.
The Chevy is an easy choice Lets put a clod lid on a hi-lift chassis, we know it fits cos it's been done hundreds of times already.
Gotta be the Clod body - I dont see why they havent already done it!

Here is a Blazing Blazer:

You want to make that into a Hi-Lift? Really?
I know what it is...you just want the body. :bangin:

If the BB were re-re'd as a HL, I'd buy 2. Maybe 3, but 2 definitively.
And I would cuddle it every night and sleep with it on my pillow.

But this poll isn't asking which one you want re-re'd. Its asking which one do you want as the next Hi-lift. So it would be the same or similar chassis as the F-350 and the Hilux.

My statement above clearly states the BB as a HL; meaning a BLAZING BLAZER BODY on a HIGH LIFT CHASSIS. Same deal as the Hilux High Lift.....

Ok, then we are on the same page.
I have a hard time seeing the BB in the picture above on a hi-lift chassis, so that is why I said, "you want the body". Meaning you want Tamiya to make the body to be used on other projects. Just teasing really. :rasp:

Someones tried it almost successful in my book. Bad choice of wheels but other than that fits a treat.
Go on do it you know you want too! You'd make a mint and everyone would love you forever.

I know it won't make me any friends but I've kinda thought the old BB was kinda weird with that wing on the roof but a full roof Blazer K5 would be cool, I'd have to say a Wrangler, Power Wagon or Bronco, I've already built them on Tamiya chassis but I know Tamiya could do better than I.

I absolutely agree, BB is an old and obsolete idea and should be to grab the body for restoring. In any case ask to Tamiya for reissuing the body and we will save money.
Now in regard to the next highlift ( talking about after the Tundra is in the road and having in account the Clod was left aside) I would like a Ford Bronco or a Blazer, perhaps new tires, more retro, finally all the people are looking for retro projects, and 2.2 tires option as well.

i think the hilux sits the best on the high lift chassis so maybe a 4 door bodied hilux? or something like that :-) or just a canvas back with sides that can roll up or down..

i'd go chevy
a 73-87 or even a 88+
hardshell a must
the lexans are just too cheap and off scale
heck i'd even like the jimmy/blaser if it was a factory body(not a cut up racer version)

I would love to see any type of suv made cherokee expedition 4 runner and so on the amount of detail they could apply to a hardbody would be sweet

I think the 88 Blazer would be an excellent choice! It's big and beefy and the possibilities are endless!!

What is the general timeline for Tamiya to give a new production to dwindle down in sales before they put out another model?

Well now they have done the Bronco for the crawler chassis, that counts it out of the list?... I'm still waiting for a '70's Dodge pick up or Ramcharger, yeah a Ramcharger would be great !!! :yourock:

i'd like to see the Clodbuster bodyshell (then i mean the original one WITH Chevy Logo's upon it) as a next Hi-Lift Body/kit
and what about a Dodge W200 from late 70s? that would be awsome too!
currently im working on a Clodbuster Body thats going to be fitted to my 4x4x4 (independed steering) and 4 linked F350 Hilift because the wheelbase seems to be a bit of with leaf springs that my Hilux still has.
