Just wondering if any one has tried softer springs? I have it set up with the soft setting that is recomended in the book, but it still seems pretty soft. Any ideas?

did you remove the springs from inside the shocks? That will soften it.

When mine was still stock I used no springs, and only two leafs. In my opinion that gave it the best performance.

Diaz Designs makes Lexan replacement springs that are very soft. They are prone to breaking with rear axle wrap if you really torque on them. The addition of a drag-link may be necessary, however for moderate use, they will hold up.

TCS is also coming out with some leaf springs for their X-Trail chassis. It is quite possible that the springs can be adapted. They may even be considering the possibility of specific springs for the HL.

I used the spings in the shocks with the mane stock leaf only. Resently I got RC4WD redc leaf spings wich are softer than stock highlift leafs. I think they work great!!

I've got a set of the Diaz lexen springs, they are very soft, it wouldn't hold the truck's weight.
