Hey guys, I have all my stuff ready to order for my Aeromax (in my car @ RC Mart). Pricing is gonna be a little scary (~$750 US), but it's not bad for everything I'm getting. I'm ready for my box trailer, MFU, trailer lights, and motorized legs. My question is, how much work is it to powder coat something (such as the box panels)? I really want to change the colour of the panels. Should be making the order later on this week, so I can't wait to get this thing finished!

Also, what colours would you guys recommend? I was thinking of a bright metallic orange (similar to the 350Z colour), or a nice red-orange. Any input will be considered when making a final decision!

I think most of your powder coat questions will have to be answered by someone who does powder coating. So, you will need to find some place that does that. Maybe there is someone on the forum that might be able to give some insight.

Are the panels on the box trailer metal or plastic?

Bruiser Builder (http://www.bruiserbuilder.com/) will powder coat and chrome plate parts for you. Check out his website for contact information. He did an excellent job chrome plating my Bruiser's metal parts.

I think powder coating the panels would be overkill. The paint doesn't have to be that durable and if the powdercoating is really thick, the panels will have a hard time fitting in their slot. A good primer and paint would do the trick nicely

I was considering that, as I was thinking earlier, and I really want to match the panels to the colour of the cab I have in mind. But, I also want to get rid of those ridges, so I guess it's time for some bondo work...
